Lake Tahoe

Last weekend Brady's friends had a little reunion at Lake Tahoe. It just happened that he had to work in Reno that weekend too so we were able to go. He had a booth for the 5K FOAM FEST at The Great Balloon Race. It was really fun to see everyone. Poor Brady had to leave the house at 3 am to get to work and we usually went to bed late. He was exhausted but still had a good time.
One of the days we went on a little hike to the waterfalls. Well it was suppose to be an easy to moderate hike but was actually really hard.. especially for a 2 year old and pregnant woman. Luckily Amy and other people were there to help with Marshall.

It was so beautiful there!
Betty and Marshall

Back at the house Marshall had so much fun playing with his cousins. This is the youngest one Lucy.
We can't wait to do this again! We had such a good time!

New Projects

This is the "mother's lounge chair" I covered. Minus the pillow. It doesn't look good with it. It was pretty hard but I LOVE it!
Here are a few ties I've made. Super easy and cute!
Here is the link I learned it from if your interested. They have a free pattern.

The Latin Fest

So there is a Latin Festival every year just a couple blocks away from our house in Provo. This year they had Nacho Libro style fight! It was freaken weird but entertaining.
It was fun to walk around and listen to the music. And good to hang out with engaged and mushy Tyson and Jessica!

The very First 5K FOAM FEST.. what Brady has been working on all year!

This 5K FOAM FEST was in Idaho Falls, Id. It was really fun to have family there and to be able to stay at the Cox's (Brady's cousins). It all went really well. Friday was a little bumpy but Saturday went really well and people had a lot of fun!
Marshall with the map
Sweet 5K FOAM FEST tattoo's!
Before the race the adults running from our family and the kids played in the foam. It was fun until they got cold haha Jake isn't very happy
Playing in the foam
Here is the crew that ran: Jessica (almost sister-in-law), Tyson (Brady's bro), Eric and Nathan (cousins), and Jamie and Matt (Brady's sister and brother-in-law)
and their off..
There were a lot of obstacles but only at this location is there sand. It made it pretty difficult but they had fun coming down the hills.
The mud

Human Car Wash

Slip and Slide.. you can barely see someone's feet here
This is at the end so you get clean after running through the mud
Crossing the finish line.
Cleaning up in the tub!
Everyone said that had a really good time. Brady did an amazing job organizing this race. It was really fun to watch too.

Remember there are still 2 more races on September 23rd and 24th. One in Reno, NV and Ogden, UT.

The Great Bird Adventure

Well you never know whats going to happen when you go to Grandma's lol!
The other day Marshall and I stopped off at Grandma and Grandpa Marshall's house to say hello. As we were getting our shoes on and getting ready to leave I heard a sound that sounded like a mouse in the fireplace. I told Grandma. When she went over there she screamed a little when I bird fell into the fireplace. We were just thinking "What the heck".
Well it was a good thing Grandpa was still home. He got it out of the fireplace and took it outside. The bird couldn't really fly away so Marshall just watched it for a while. We noticed that it had tags on its legs. Grandpa decided to take it to his friends house that has other pigeons and knows a lot about them.
Marshall was sad to see it go! I'm not exactly sure of the rest of the story, you'll have to ask Grandma and Grandpa, but I am pretty sure the bird was dead after not too long.. sorry sad ending. But dang it sure was surprising and interesting haha.

The Great Urban Race

Here is Brady doing another Race! This one seemed pretty fun. They had to run all over Salt Lake solving clues and making up their own course. He ran this one with his other boss Ryan.
I think they had a pretty good time. They were one of first groups to finish too!

Random pictures of Marshall

Well Marshall riding this tractor is a BIG deal. In May we went to Chuck E Cheeses and put him on probably the craziest ride I'd ever seen. It was a huge 4 wheeler and was really scary. I don't know what we were thinking. Since then he hasn't wanted to ride anything like this that moves. So finally we got him to ride one that he likes. He wanted to do it over and over. Hopefully this is a start to not being so scared anymore!
In the morning, Marshall usually finds Jared's clothes from the night before. He decided to try this shirt on. lol His head is in the sleeve.
So our friends Jenna and Chris and so wonderful and have given us tons of clothes for Marshall since their boy is older. This is an outfit I had to try on him... even though its a 6 month outfit. Remember Marshall is 2!

I love when Marshall figures things out himself and entertains himself. He made this slide by himself and had a blast on it!

Summer fun with the Fam!

It was so fun to have the family here for so long! We were able to do so much together. A few different days we went swimming which is always fun. Here is Marshall Corinne and Kim.
Corinne, Dad (Grandpa), Kim and Marshall
Grandma, Corinne and Marshall

They loved being with their Grandma and Grandpa! So did we!

Play Day with Grandma and Grandpa

Grandma Marshall usually does a play day with the younger cousins but this time she let the great grandkids come!
Or course she made waffles. Grandpa fixed them for the kids! So yummy!
They played with some bubbles too!
Then we all went to This is the Place. I didn't realize how much was there. We definitely will be going back soon! It was really fun. The first thing we did was ride the train around the whole place.
Mindi, Kaitlin, Grandpa and Grandma
Miranda, Kim, Katie, Marshall, Corinne, Travis and Trent
Then they played on a huge ship. We then panned for silver. Marshall just played in the water and put rocks in the pan.
There was another train that was a lot smaller and we went on that next. Marshall screamed when we had to get off.
Grandpa got us ice cream after that!
After walking around a little we went to the petting zoo.
Marshall got to see and pet a pig, goat, cow (that looked like a surfer with his long shaggy blonde hair lol), rabbits, snakes, sheep and horsies. Marshall was a little too scared to ride the horse but Corinne did!
Back at Grandmas house Kim went down stairs and found Marshall and Corinne having a little party of their own with water and skittles!

We had such a good time. Thanks again Grandma and Grandpa. Marshall still talks about it almost everyday. He lists off everything we did with "fun" somewhere in it! So cute!
