Marshall the Comedian!

Marshall is at this age where he just says the funniest things! Oh my goodness I wish we remembered all of them. He is starting to copy us which is kind of bad but so funny. Like he told Scott to look at this toy and he said, "Scott look at this.. look at this now.. 1.. 2.. 3!" I had to run out of the room laughing!
He is so bossy which again is not good but is just hilarious! He'll tell us to do something "right now!!"

Marshall has a new favorite show: The Brady Bunch! He watches Curious George when I cook dinner and The Brady Bunch is always after so he watches that too. You have to realize that Marshall LOVES Curious George and LOVES helping me cook. So one day he wanted to help me cook and Not watch George. Then as soon as he heard the theme song for Brady Bunch, he wanted to get off the counter and ran to the couch. He sat there through the whole show, which he never does.. sits through an entire show! So funny. I don't know what it is about that show but he sure loves it. He even knows who Peter is!
Marshall got a Superman action figure for Christmas but has no idea who he is or what he can do. But the other day, Brady told him to go to Time Out and he says sternly "No! I'm Superman!"
It's so naughty but so funny! We laugh every time he says that. I'm not sure where he got that from but it must've been from his cousins ha ha!

We just love this kid!

Christmas in California!

California was so fun! It was so great to be around family and friends. We were there for so long but it was a good time. We did so much! It was a crazy busy trip!
We always end up doing something weird at the Bowden house! Brady is trying to get the wax out of his ear with a candle!
Here is a group from mutual doing a service for us. They are reading a story to the kids. They were so excited! The kids were upset when they left. It was pretty cute!
Betty and Marshall
Betty, Marshall and Jake!
These are the boys wrestling! It is so funny to watch. Watch Jake. He's the one without a shirt. They had so much fun together! Marshall was just loving it!

Happy New Year!

After the triathlon we had a huge bonfire on the Brasher's property. It was fun to eat and chat with all the families! Then we played Just Dance on the Wii which was super fun! I took a video of Marshall that is hilarious but it isn't working to put it on here. So hopefully I can figure it out and get it up soon!

SWIM..
Look how red he got from the freezing pond water
BIKE..
RUN...
You can barely see Brady. He is on the left, just behind the tall grass on the edge of the pond. Isn't this a beautiful backyard!
Marshall ate mandarins and played with the chickens, turkeys
and goats while we waited for the boys to finish.
Three brothers coming in close together.
Conner, Austin and Brady.
How cute! Austin and Brady finish together!

Fishing on the pond at the Brashers

Matt, Hayden, Jake, Marshall and Brady

Like father like son... look at the way they are standing..
Marshall first catch.. ever!
Betty, Jake and Marshall
The Twins!
If they were both smiling they would look even more a like. Everyone gets them mixed up. At the wedding Grandpa Brasher kept calling "Jakey, Jakey, Jakey".. then he finally realized it was Marshall!! Its so funny!
Scott enjoying the outside! He doesn't get to see much of that in Utah cause it's so cold.

Santa Cruz in December!!

YES it was so beautiful outside, in DECEMBER, that we ate outside!!
I LOVE California!
Lee (Brady's brother) and Leann live just outside of Santa Cruz so we took a day trip out to visit. We went out on the wharf and saw the sea lions or whatever these are! The boys enjoyed them!

When it got dark we went to the beach and had a bonfire and roasted marshmallows. The flash makes it so you can see everyone but it was really dark! The sunset was beautiful though! I miss those lower pink sunsets living in Utah!
We had a really good time!

Sacramento Train Museum

We did a lot of fun things like go to the Zoo and the Train Museum.
Marshall had a really good time! He loved to be able to go inside the trains!

By the time we were done, the kids were done! It was nap time!

CHRISTMAS!!

This is "Katie's Workshop"! Just a few of the projects from Christmas!
This is a skirt I made Corinne. The color is actually more rosy! I made a smaller one for Kaitlin and plan to make a bigger one for myself!!
Christmas Eve we had Mexican and made Gingerbread housed at the Bowden House!
Here are the boys in their PJ's they get to open on Christmas Eve! Thanks Grandma's!
This is what Marshall woke up to on Christmas Morning! Santa brought him a train! He played with that thing every single day in California!
We woke up to a great surprise on Christmas Morning.. ANTS!! Ants covered the whole front room and kitchen. They were all over the presents. It was horrible. I guess that is what happens when you live in the country! So annoying! Anyway.. after an hour of trying to clean them up we finally opened presents. Luckily Marshall was very excited and occupied with his train!
It was fun to have Grandma & Grandpa Bowden and Sherrie there too!
Jen being silly! I think thats were Brady gets it!
Scott with all his presents from Grandma's! He's half asleep!
Brady had Conner for Christmas and made him a giant KitKat bar!! Yes it is chocolate and vanilla wafers! It was even shaped like a kitkat bar! It was pretty cool!
Brady's other amazing present that he gave was for his Dad! He made a seat out of wood and a saddle and a display of all Gary's cowboy stuff. There's a bunch of little things on the display that you can't really see like spurs and other things that I don't really know what they are ha ha!
On the opposite wall are old pictures of him and his kids with horses! He got emotional with this one and had a hard time telling the stories of the pictures. Brady did a great job!
I made the boys matching ties to wear to church since Christmas was on Sunday!

Tyson (Brady's Brother) & Jessica's Wedding

We went out to California super early to make it to Tyson & Jessica's wedding! It was fun! Brady's mom put on an incredible dinner on Wednesday that was decorating amazing! Then they were sealed Sacramento Temple by Jessica's Grandpa Brasher!

Let me try to tell you how our families are connected. Tyson and Brady's sister Jamie married Matt Brasher. Jessica is Matt & Jamie's niece. She is now their sister-in-law. And Tyson is not only Jamie's brother but nephew too! Jamie and Matt's kids Hayden, Jake and Betty are Jessica's cousins but now they are also her nephews and niece. It is pretty funny! It was just really funny to watch the kids at the wedding during pictures because they were in so many of them.. cousins, nieces and nephews, Bowdens and Brashers lol! Anyway.. we LOVE LOVE LOVE Jessica and are so happy she is in our family AND that they live in Provo now too!!
Jessica's Grandma Brasher had all the girls in the families and bridesmaids get their nails done. It was really fun!
Brady's mom, Jennifer, did all the flowers with the help of her amazing brother David! They turned out so pretty!
Marshall trying to sneak into the temple!

Cute little Scott!
These are the nieces and nephews! I just love Marshall in this picture!
Scott adoring Jessica! If you click on the picture to see it bigger you can see him smiling at her!
Seriously the outfits were so cute!
