NEW YORK ... without the kids!!

OH MY GOODNESS! We had a such a great time in New York. Brady's sister Jamie and her husband Matt dropped their kids of at our house in Utah with Tyson (Brady's brother) and Jessica to watch for the week. We spent a few super fun loaded days in New York City staying right in Time Square.

It is seriously the city that never sleeps. Everything is open so late and so bright that we stayed out super late every night (which you can't do with kids).

Here we are in Time Square! This is where we spent most of our time. Eating at places like the Hard Rock Cafe, the Shake Shack (DELICIOUS.. best burger ever), etc.

When we first got there we ran to catch the last half of a NY Mets game. It was so fun! Thanks Matt and Jamie!

In the mornings we were beat. Long nights and rain means I don't get ready! lol
This is at Breakfast in a cute cafe!
This is Brady with a headband he found in a shop on Canal Street haha Creepy!!

This was the view from one of our hotel rooms! Sweet huh!
Thanks again Jamie and Matt!

Brady's friend is the head chef here at a sweet restaurant near Central park. He created all the menu items and they are all really interesting and really good.

 Central Park What??
Tired of the rain!

One of the most fun things we did was going to see "Wicked"! It was amazing! Way more amazing then I would've ever thought!

We also spent a day in Palmyra. That was really fun! Brady and Jamie had never been so it was great!
This is looking at the Sacred Grove through a window of the Smith Farmhouse.

Here is the first Smith Farmhouse!
The Palmyra temple. So pretty. The missionaries told us they trim back the trees because there are windows in the front of the temple so you can see the Sacred Grove from inside the temple. Just Cool!
This is the house that Alvin was building before he died. The Smiths lived in it for a while but had to move back to the small farmhouse because of financial reasons.
This is where Joseph pulled up the brick and hid the plate in the dirt underneath when a mob was coming.
This was just funny I thought!
They hid the plates in this little shop too.
 Sacred Grove!

The sun was shining down through the trees! It was pretty cool!
Just sweet and beautiful! It was pretty empty which helped us really feel the spirit there!
The Printing Shop
One of the coolest things we saw there was a copy of the characters Martin Harris brought to the professor. COOL!
Two of the churches on the intersection where there is a church on all 4 corners.

At the top of the Hill Cumorah!

A HUGE THANK YOU to Mom, Dad and Jeff for watching the kids while we went to New York. Mom and Jeff picked up the kids from JFK and just took them to Connecticut. I'll admit I had a hard time just letting them go. But after I got over I was over it and we had a BLAST lol!

We came back to Connecticut for a few days and hung out with the family! We had a great time! Thanks again MOM and DAD!!

Here is Grandpa teaching Marshall to play ball!
and Scott haha

Thanks Jamie and Matt for the fun time! I am so glad we went with you guys! We seriously had a BLAST!

What a fun trip! I love NYC! It is always hard to leave the kids, but definitely necessary ever once in a while. And how nice to get to see the church sites.
